Despite challenges, not one Zanmi Lasante facility has yet closed or been forced to stop caring for patients throughout the region. Indeed, 1.3 million people, or 1 in 10 Haitians, rely on the ZL-supported health network for care, treatment and accompaniment.    

In Rural Sierra Leone, Quality Care Closer to Home

PIH and its Ministry of Health partners renovated Kombayendeh Community Health Center, previously one of the most direly under-resourced clinics in Kono District, Sierra Leone, and now care for double the number of patients, as more people feel confident in the quality of care provided at the facility.
