Partners In Health's new podcast, Unchain, explores the history of mental health in Sierra Leone through the story of its only psychiatric hospital—once an impoverished facility that, due to lack of resources, used chains on patients. The hospital has since been renovated by PIH and the Sierra Leonan Ministry of Health and now provides dignified, high-quality mental health care.
