Community Mobilization & Communication
This unit contains approximately 10 hours and 30 minutes (2 days) of training activities.
Community Health Workers are trained to:
- Use effective and respectful communication and listening techniques when communicating with the families that they work with, including active listening and open-ended questions.
- Use behavior change communication to help families improve their health and well-being.
- Perform home visits, meet with mothers and adolescents groups, and conduct community mobilization activities.

Participants use the handbook during training sessions and afterwards for review.
